What changes the cost of ovarian cancer treatment
Stage at diagnosis
Stage 1 (limited to ovaries): Rs 4-6 lakh. Stage 2-3 (pelvic spread): Rs 6-10 lakh. Stage 3C-4 (extensive peritoneal disease): Rs 10-15 lakh including HIPEC.
Chemotherapy regimen
Carboplatin-paclitaxel chemotherapy, usually given every 3 weeks for 6 cycles, costs approximately Rs 60,000–1,50,000. Adding bevacizumab adds Rs 4-8 lakh. PARP inhibitor maintenance adds Rs 1-3 lakh per month.
Whether HIPEC is added

Biomarker testing
BRCA1/2 and HRD testing (for PARP inhibitor eligibility) costs Rs 35,000-60,000 but determines treatment choice.
Maintenance therapy
For BRCA-positive or HRD-positive patients, PARP inhibitor maintenance can extend treatment for 2+ years and significantly affects total cost.

Will my insurance or Ayushman card cover ovarian cancer treatment?
